School Supply Kits for 2022-23 – Available Now! Delivered to Aquila in August

Order your classroom school supplies today! Enjoy your summer and avoid the back-to-school shopping hassle to find all the right supplies.

The Aquila PTO has worked with Bright SchoolKitz to provide affordable kits that match the schools supply list each year. Kits range in price from $33 – $53 on orders placed before the last day of school (6/9).

Kits are available for purchase until July 29. Kits may be available after this date but will be shipped directly to students homes. Additional shipping and handling charges may apply.

**While you are ordering your school kit, you will have the opportunity to donate money towards school supply kits for families who struggle with buying school supplies. Bright SchoolKitz® will match your donation by 20% and will pack out extra kits that will be sent to the school.

Bright SchoolKitz is a mom-owned business, that helps employ adults with developmental disabilities to pack a portion of the kits. Your choice to buy school supplies at Bright SchoolKitz makes a difference and your purchase is appreciated.


What a night at the Aquila Carnival!

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who made the carnival such a success! We could NOT do any of it without the support and enthusiasm of our community!

It was an incredible night filled with games, cotton candy, food trucks, balloon animals, henna tattoos and more!

We hope you and your family were able to join our community last Friday and if not, we’ll be back next year!

Congratulations to our raffle winners! Thank you to those supporting the silent auction who went home with some amazing finds!

2022-23 PTO Open Board Position Candidacy

So you’d like to get more involved in Aquila’s PTO, but you’re not sure how? Two PTO board positions are opening, Vice President and Secretary! Below are brief summaries of what to expect with each position.

Each board position is a commitment of 2 years. The position of Vice President is expected to succeed the President as a means of providing continuity.

  • Summer Playground Program – one of the most affordable and most enjoyed by students offers morning and afternoon sites for $5 per session per day
  • Financial Assistance“Access to Fun” program offers financial assistance to those who live or work in St. Louis Park. A one page application is all that is necessary. Assistance can reach up to half of the cost of each program.
  • Access Twin Cities – Provides services to help students participate in activities throughout the twin cities. Services include assistance in finding programs right for your family, assistance in registration, providing scholarships and more!

Vaccination Information: Finding a Second Dose

Individuals that received a first dose at the vaccination clinic at St. Louis Park Middle School on December 6 will need to find a location to receive their second dose the week of December 27 – the target date for a second dose. To find a vaccine location families can:

  • Walk-in at Community Care Clinics of Minnesota located at 2139 N 44th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55412; Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.;
  • Contact their pediatrician or family medicine clinic about appointments;
  • Visit to use the Find My Vaccine map to locate and contact providers near them; or
  • Utilize the CDC’s Vaccine Finder at to find pharmacies offering pediatric vaccinations.
